Garrett Janke, DVM
Dr. Janke is a 2017 graduate of the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. His studies were focused in food animal production and medicine, but he enjoys all aspects of mixed animal practice. Dr. Janke is a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, the American Association of Bovine Practitioners, the American Association of Equine Practitioners, and the Society of Theriogenology. Originally from Needville, Texas, he now resides in Wharton with his wife Lauren and their three children. In his free time, Dr. Janke enjoys fishing at the coast, camping, and spending time with his family.
Lauren Davang, DVM
My name is Lauren Davang and I am a 2017 graduate of the Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. I have been practicing equine medicine for the past 4 years. I am an avid barrel racer, a card holding member of the Women’s Professional Rodeo Association, and a Director for Gulf Coast Barrel Racing Association. My family and I moved to Wharton, TX in 2008 to pursue our dream of raising AQHA registered barrel racing prospects. I am married to my husband Mike; we don’t have any children but do have two dogs and three cats.
I enjoy all things equine but have a special interest in equine reproduction, mainly on mare management, artificial and deep horn insemination of fresh, cooled, and frozen semen, as well as embryo flushes. I also am trained to collect stallions and process semen for artificial insemination and for cooled shipped semen.
I also have a great interest in sports medicine and lameness, including pre purchase examinations, lameness examinations, diagnostic imaging, joint injections, and rehabilitation with my background with equine performance. I am well versed in equine emergency medicine, including the medical management of colics, laceration repairs, and other unique cases that emerge.

MEET OUR STAFF
Lori Motl - Practice Manager
I have been in the veterinary customer care field for 25+ years. I started out as a receptionist then office manager, and now a practice manager. I am married to my husband, Pat, for 34 years now and we have raised three beautiful daughters and also have two granddaughters.
Our extended family consists of 6 Brittany Spaniels, Hooey our dachshund and two granddogs. We also have horses, chickens, pigeons, and quail. When not being the "Chaos Coordinator" at our vet practices, I enjoy dancing, hunting, fishing, cooking, and baking.
I look forward to meeting everyone here in Brazoria county. Our goal is to provide the best veterinary care and customer service available.
